THE OPPORTUNITY After 15 years with the business, our beloved Publisher is moving on to pursue other personal interests, leaving us with a challenge to engage another enthusiastic and motivated leader to manage and guide the Production team. Based in Brisbane and reporting to the CEO, your primary focus would be to lead and support the product team including the Online, Digital, Design, In-house Writing and Editing Services teams as well as the Innovation Lead in the development and production of all print and digital content and to ensure the seamless execution of customer-centric products to the market. WHAT YOU WILL BRING You will enjoy professional and cultural challenges, be a strong people coach, a critical thinker and be highly organised in all levels of your experience. You will also ideally have Tertiary qualifications in Professional Writing, Publishing and Editing, Mathematics, or Marketing (or other relevant discipline). Demonstrated experience (5+ years) leading a publishing team with educational publishing experienced being preferred A keen eye for detail, with an ability to review your own work and the work of others Strong project management skills with an ability to deliver to project deadlines and manage your own time A consultative approach with exceptional skills to communicate and negotiate effectively with multiple stakeholders on various projects Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills with an ability to work in a collaborative team environment Intermediate knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Publishing tools with an understanding and experience using HTML being highly regarded Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
